PPPFA (Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act)

The primary legislation governing preferential procurement in South Africa. The PPPFA prescribes a points system: 80/20 for tenders up to R50 million (80 points for price, 20 for B-BBEE) and 90/10 for tenders above R50 million. It was amended in 2022 to include additional preference categories.
