What documents must I submit with a tender response?

Every South African government tender response needs:

  • SBD forms — at minimum SBD 1 (declaration), SBD 4 (conflict of interest), SBD 6.1 (BBBEE preference claim), SBD 8 (past SCM practices), SBD 9 (independent bid determination).
  • CIPC registration — valid company registration from the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission.
  • CSD registration summary — valid print from the Central Supplier Database.
  • Tax clearance — a valid SARS PIN (now usually auto-verified via CSD).
  • BBBEE certificate or affidavit — valid past the closing date.
  • Banking details — usually a stamped bank-issued confirmation letter.
  • Industry registrationsCIDB for construction, PSiRA for security, ECSA for engineering, etc.
