CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board)

A statutory body that regulates and develops the South African construction industry. CIDB registration is mandatory for all construction companies bidding on public sector work. Companies are graded from 1-9 based on financial capability and track record, determining the maximum value of construction contracts they can undertake.
